FAQS

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

After Baby RNs is a concierge service and is unable to bill insurance for general infant or mother care.

For lactation consultation, Brianne, our International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, is a Tricare certified provider and is also a provider with The Lactation Network. Tricare will cover up to 6 outpatient lactation visits for beneficiaries, one of which can be a prenatal visit after the 27th week of pregnancy. For families with insurance coverage with Blue Cross PPO, Blue Shield PPO, Anthem PPO or Cigna PPO, you will likely be covered for 6 free lactation visits (one can be a prenatal appointment) through The Lactation Network. It is also likely you will have coverage through The Lactation Network if your insurance provider utilizes MultiPlan or PNOA. Check your benefits here.

For families with insurance providers not listed above, we can provide a super bill so that you can file with your insurance.

HOW DO I BOOK A RN TO COME TO MY HOUSE?

Use the "Contact Us" link, email us at afterbabyrns@gmail.com, or call/text us at 972-779-6594 and let us know when you would like a nurse to come to your house and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

WHICH SERVICES WILL THE RN PROVIDE WHILE SHE IS AT OUR HOME?

We are be happy to do whatever you would like for the time you have us booked. Maybe baby is hungry when we arrive and we can help with breastfeeding, and after a good feeding, the baby (and mom) are sleepy. We can watch the baby while the new parents nap uninterrupted, fold baby laundry, and change baby's diaper. After mom and dad are awake and rested, we can assist the parents in bathing baby, answer baby care questions or once again assist with breastfeeding. If we offer a service, we can do whatever you like with the time you have purchased. We are like a Postpartum Doula and a Registered Nurse all in one.
